3. Radiological Emergency Preparedness

I have worked in the nuclear industry for 36 years, initially as a radiation health and safety technician, and then through a succession of unusual companies, interesting projects, and various responsibilities. Most recently, I consult for companies focused on nuclear and radiological emergencies, and homeland security.

Some of those interesting projects include the first-ever civilian decommissioning of a radiological hot lab, the decommissioning of three nuclear reactors, the recovery from the Three Mile Island accident, and even the processing of nuclear weapons waste in China.

This work has taken me all over the world, from Central America to Finland, from China to Eastern Europe, providing a wealth of experience and information that is reflected in my work, and in my writing.

I publish a radiological safety information web site at www.radiationsafetyinfo.com.
